We built Muckin from the name up
Muckin gives UK accountancy practices a named person’s month on their production work, from the Pretoria team of Buzz Accounting, with the accounts and tax work signed off by Buzz Accounting’s own UK practice. Chivvy built the brand, the site, the calculator and the portal the practices work in.

The portal comes with every seat
A practice signs in at app.muckin.co.uk, picks the client and the type of job, and drops the papers into a checklist with an upload slot for each one. The turnaround clock starts when the pack is complete and pauses while the team waits for an answer.
The dashboard shows the hours used against the seat this month, what is due this week, jobs by stage and everything that has moved lately.

Accounts work cannot reach Delivered until it has passed UK review, and the preparer and the reviewer are always different people. A practice approves the job with a rating, or sends it back with its reasons.

Hiring the same hours in the UK
Uses the same benchmarks as the full calculator: 5 hours a year-end job, 2 hours a self assessment return, 3 hours a bookkeeping client a month and 15 minutes an employee a month. Every seat after the first is 10% off. The UK figure uses salaries of £36,000 for accounts and £30,000 for other roles, times 1.35 for employer costs. Prices exclude VAT.

A seat is one person in one role for a set number of hours a month. The fee is fixed, billing is rolling monthly with one month’s notice, and every seat after the first is 10% off.

The Muckin portal
Every practice gets a login to send a job with its papers, follow it through six stages, answer queries in one list and watch the hours on its seat.
Sign-in and access
A six-digit code emailed at each sign-in, three levels of access for admins, members and partners, and files kept in private storage behind short-lived links.
Software connections
Xero and FreeAgent connect from inside the portal, so a practice approves the link on their own sign-in screen and its client list arrives without retyping.
